There is nothing wrong with the code for Impulse! The true problem is your machine and what you have on it.
I'll do you as with what ever and any computer manufacturer does. Get your machine back to a factory installed state and we will provide you with support. Otherwise it is your problem and we do not support issues where the machine in question has been made to work as you want it too. Thus you have problems and expect us to find what it is that is wrong and fix it for you.
Being this it is not our problem till you change things back to a factory installed state. Is that easy enough for you?
I'll be willing to bet you once you restore that computer to a factory installed state. That Impulse will run exactly as it should and you will not have any problems. Thus Stardock software is good and has no such bad code or other stuff you might think up wrong with it. Fact is your machine is trashed and needs to be formatted and reinstalled.
Or if you can figure it out as to what is causing your problem without doing such. Then all be it you are a better man than I... Plus you have solved the problem and do not need support with your issue as such.
If you have yet to figure what I am saying then so be it. But it all comes down to this here and most companies follow the same rules.
We do not provide support for any and all circumstances related to system inoperability's as such where you have made changes to such the OS and/or other needed program componets. To which I'm saying you need to fix your computer before we will support a problem with our software.
This is a common practice at many program support sites for many manufactures. Which in this case it points out one thing. We will not fix your computer for you becuase you bought our software. Meaning you return the computer to a factory installed state and we will prodide you with support. Otherwise support is not our resposibility, it's yours due to a non factory installed state being used.
I DO NOT WORK FOR STARDOCK !!!
This is my opinion and what I have come accross here with support issues and how they are handled properly. I repeat myself again here "A lot and/or most companies are doing this now to keep from having to do support for inoperability's due to OS misuse".
Support is a very costly thing - we have people who work hard as ever to get the bugs out of things. But I think they need some help with things as to what and whenever there is a no need situation. The same goes for members here at this site who do there best to get another member fixed up with their problems. But most of them will work under whatever circumstances to get things figured out.
So my answer to you is as follows: Get your computer reinstalled with a clean OS and try to install Impulse again.
